"He Speaks Words in Prolific Volume Like a Machine Gun"

POPEYE Magazine, a monthly men's fashion magazine based in Tokyo, Japan, published this article highlighting twenty-five bookstores around the world known for their character. They featured Unoppressive Books and seemed particularly taken with bookstore founder Jim Drougas, who they described as speaking words in "prolific volume like a machine gun."

This looks like a good and fun magazine. Hope they are doing well and thanks for sharing this information. I am currently obsessing over Bala Kudu but I would love to read this magazine.

I lived in Tokyo for many years, and Popeye magazine is incredibly cool. They are right, we do need good bookstores and interesting people to run them. It is good to see someone is still doing the Neal Cassady beat rap. I'm in San Francisco, but hope to return to NY to visit one day, any bookstore that loves Hunter S Thompson as much as me must be an enchanted place indeed.
